The Shaktiananda Yoga technique is designed
to meet the needs and goals of each individual.
This includes pranayama (controlled breathing), gentle stretching,
recharging exercises, asana (poses) and vinyasa (flow, or linking poses together).
Yoga practice is a stress-relief, assists recovery from surgery or illness,
promotes weight loss, strength and flexibility, and improved health and wellbeing.
The practice of relaxation and meditation brings the body and mind inner peace.

♦ Beginner Pranayama and Hatha Yoga
The basics of Hatha yoga will be explored in a progressive and logical manner. Great for those new to yoga, as well as those wishing to explore form and alignment.
♦ Prenatal Session
Our prenatal yoga classes provide a combination of simple and effective exercises specifically geared to strengthening and relaxing the pregnant, rapidly changing body. Yoga during any stage of pregnancy, can help to increase flexibility, improve circulation, and relieve common problems and discomforts associated with pregnancy.
♦ Baby & Mom Session
Yoga for you and your baby. A supportive environment to learn yoga, recover from childbirth and bond with your baby.
Explore the ancient mystical practice of yoga and how to apply the practice to everyday life. Yoga is a spiritual life style and offers a set of practices that can transform daily life experiences into opportunities for growth and transformation. This Course includes a variety of Yogic practices: moral and ethical principles, pranayama, asana, concentration, meditation, devotional chanting, self-study, group discussion and more. This philosophy program will require your active participation. The practice of Yoga is a path of action concerned with knowledge gained from personal experience.
♦ Pilates Descriptions
Beginner Pilates will introduce you to the fundamental principles of the Pilates method, and the basic exercises. You will embrace upon flowing dance movements and body awareness to improve upon strength, posture and flexibility.
We will stick to the basics, but with modifications to make the exercises more challenging.

It is best to practice on an empty stomach as the body functions with a lot more ease if it is not busy digesting food. Drinking lots of water throughout the day aids in the body's flexibility.
Please make an effort to arrive on time as our yoga classes are structured with a warm-up, postures, counter-postures and a final relaxation. Come 10 minutes early to allow yourself time to get set-up.
It is best to wear comfortable loose clothing, as you will be moving around and in many different positions. To get the proper benefits of the class choose you will want to be in bare feet. You will need to bring bottled water and a blanket or mat.
Please throw away any gum you may be chewing and remove any hats you may be wearing before the Class begins. Please do not leave your glasses, watches or jewellery out in the open where it may be stepped on inadvertently by the instructor or classmates. It is best to put personal items away in your bag you bring with you.
Please leave any footwear and heavy apparel in the designated areas during Class. Please try to bring only the necessary items to Class to keep it as uncluttered as possible.
Please do only the postures that feel comfortable for you. Always be mindful when moving in and out of a posture. If you feel any pain or discomfort, stop immediately.
Please inform the instructor, if you are, or think you may be pregnant.
If you have health issues, t is always best to check with your doctor before commencing any exercise program.
If you are arriving late, please wait until after the beginning centering and meditation is done to minimize the disturbance to the Class.
If you must leave class early, please do a few minutes of your own Savasana (corpse pose) so that you have had a balanced class. Please leave before the rest of the class begins Savasana so as not to disrupt their rest time.
Again, it is important to bring your own mat or blanket for sanitary and health reasons.Please turn off all cellular phones and pagers before beginning the Class.
